It’s very simple right now: it will split all selected structural columns at a level elevation specified by the user (beta developed by Ken Marsh)

Thanks for posting this. It was a fun little project and if anyone has some feeback to share, I'd be happy to hear it. It's wicked simple but it seems to solve an irritating little lack of functionality in Revit. My guess is that offset from level and preserving column instance data are probably the biggest shortcomings. Let me know if there's interest in further development. Thanks,Ken
